Jewelry Care

Jewelry is made from a mix of gold-plating and 14k gold-filled.

Please read under each product details to which metal(s) the pieces are made of to see the correct way to take care of your jewelry for long lasting results.

  • Gold plated jewelry is made by using electricity or chemicals to deposit and bond a very thin layer of gold over another metal. This process creates a thin layer of gold over brass or sterling silver. (should not be worn during swimming or exercise as it can cause tarnish in the piece)
  • Gold Filled jewelry is created by pressure bonding an actual layer of gold to another metal (in our case sterling silver). It won’t tarnish and will not rub off or turn colors. Customers who are sensitive to certain metals can wear gold filled without worries of an allergic reaction. Gold filled pieces can be worn daily without fear of fading or rubbing off for many cases as long as 30 years.

For best and long lasting care:

To protect your jewelry always remove it when washing your hands, swimming, exercising, cleaning and before applying any kind of personal body product.

Maintain your jewelry’s shine by avoiding contact with agents such as soaps, perfume, lotion, makeup, hair & cleaning products, etc.  If jewelry starts to dull, use polishing cloth to restore shine.
